If you’ve ever thought you’d like to be one of the many women working at home, you’re not alone!

For me, working at home has been the best possible choice and I want to share that possibility with as many other women as possible.

At some time or other, most people have looked around at work and decided they could definitely do better and enjoy life more if they had more control over their work lives.

If this is you, you’ve come to the right place.

I have been working at home, with varying degrees of success, since my oldest child was born in 1972. Yes, that’s not a typo!

I have tried EVERYTHING!

I have made money and I have lost money (sometimes a lot!) but I never gave up.

And, sure enough, I have found that there are ways to be very successful working at home. It is actually possible to be free from the job treadmill and still not starve.

I promise you, it IS possible.

And I’d like to show you how it can be done.

Here I will share with you the good, the bad, and the definitely UGLY parts of working at home, much of it from my first-hand experience.

I’ll share the tips and secrets I’ve learned along the way and, hopefully, I’ll be able to spare you some of the mistakes I have made.

At the same time, I’ll tell you all the reasons I’ve found running a home-based business to be the VERY BEST way to work!

It’s enriched my life and those of my family members beyond anything I could have imagined when I first started out and it can do that for you too.

So follow me and I will do my best to show you the way.

First, Working at Home Works! will give you an overview of WHY you should start a home business. This will be your chance to reflect on why (and IF) you want to make this jump.

I will lead you through this process with worksheets, books, courses and chances for you to reflect on where you are in regard to your relationship with your current job, your family, and yourself.

Then, I will guide you in picking out the perfect (well, as close to perfect as possible) business for you.

Hopefully, it will be one that fits your talents, skills, and available time.

And if you’re looking for business ideas so you can be home with your young children, we’ll talk about how to make that work too!

There are many home-based businesses that will fit into your available time and create the life balance that you are seeking.

There will be more worksheets to help you make those choices too!

Then I will discuss with you many of the possible home businesses from which you can choose. I will tell you as much as I can about these businesses, including pros and cons, and I will go into detail about how to start each one. I will also include resources to help get you started.

If none of the ideas for a home business that I suggest sound just right for you, I hope that my suggestions will get your creativity flowing.

There are many, many variations on the themes I will present. These are only meant to give you ideas.

What you do after that is entirely UP TO YOU!

Oh, one more thing, you will probably notice that I have not discussed businesses that are clerical or menial. That’s because I’ve tried many of these businesses and they are BORING!

So I won’t suggest them to you. We are all very creative women, each in our own way, and I hope to jump-start that creativity in you!
